Federated Search & Zendesk Search Connector
Federated Search is a new feature that allows you to connect content hosted on other platforms to your community search using Search Connectors. With this release our first search connector is available. This is a Zendesk Guide Search connector that will surface knowledge base articles from your Zendesk Help Centers in searches that are run in your Vanilla community. Learn more.
Aha! Zapier Templates
Aha! is a popular tool used by product managers and marketing teams to define why, when and what products to build.
We've added two new Zapier templates for Vanilla and Aha! users to take the manual hassle out of sharing community feedback with product teams.
- Log ideas submitted in your Vanilla communities as Ideas in Aha!. Try it out.
- Log votes added to ideas in Vanilla as Ideas on Aha! Try it out.
Requirements: You will need to enable Vanilla's Ideation add-on to use this template.
Sendoso Zapier Template
Sendoso is one of the leading Sending Platforms, allowing businesses to connect with customers and drive revenue with personalized gifts, branded swag, eGifts, and virtual experiences.
We've added a new Zapier template for Vanilla and Sendoso users, that will automate the process of sending community members eGifts from Sendoso when they earn a Rank in Vanilla. Try it out.
Requirements: You will need to enable and configure Vanilla's Rank add-on to use this template.
Skilljar Zapier Template
Skilljar is one of the leading cloud-based learning management system that enables businesses to build training programs at scale.
We've added a new Zapier template for Vanilla and Skilljar users that will automate the process of awarding badges to community members when they complete Skilljar courses. Try it out.
Requirements:
- Badges add-on is enabled on Vanilla
- Custom badges for students will need to be created on Vanilla before this template can be configured. Learn more about creating badges.
- Students must be members of your community to earn a badge
- Community members must be registered to the community using the same email address used in Skilljar to receive the badge
Northpass Zapier Template
Northpass is the learning platform for mid-sized businesses seeking to create and scale learning to customers, partners and employees.
We've added two new Zapier templates for Vanilla and Northpass customers that will automate the process of awarding badges to community members when
Requirements:
- Badges add-on is enabled on Vanilla
- Custom badges for Norhtpass courses or quizzes will need to be created on Vanilla before these templates can be configured. Learn more about creating badges.
- End-users must be members of your community to earn a badge
- Community members must be registered to the community using the same email address used in Northpass to receive the badge
Jira Zapier Template
Jira is Atlassian's issue and project tracking software.
We've added a new Zapier template for Vanilla and Jira users that will automate the process of filing new issues in Jira when posts are reported in Vanilla. This can allow community managers to escalate and action issues described in discussions, comments, questions or ideas posted to the community and mitigation/next steps can be planned and tracked in Jira. Try it out.
Requirements: Vanilla's Reporting add-on needs to be enabled in order to allow posts to be reported and for this template to be configured.
