Release 2020.020 will be deployed:
- To staging sites: Tuesday, October 6th
- To production sites: Tuesday, October 13th
- To enterprise sites: Monday, October 19th
Search : Group results by discussion
We've received some feedback about search results getting a bit too noisy. Essentially, search results previously listed all discussions and comments that matched the users query, leading to search results that repeated the same content.

We've introduced some improvements this sprint to help mitigate this pain point. Starting with release 2020.020, search results will be grouped by discussion, allowing users to get a better view of all discussions that match their query.
On the search results page, users will see how many posts within the thread match their query. As shown above, the "Email Digest" discussion has 13 comments that match by query.
Using this link, users can navigate to a page that allows them to drill down into the discussion to find the comments that match their current query, and/or they can refine their search query and filter the discussion's comments by date or by author.
