Release 2024.002

Release 2024.002 will be released to

Production/Public – the week of February 12th
Enterprise – the week of February 19th

Analytics: OR Operator

With release 2024.002, we’ve added an “OR” operator to our analytics filters

This will allow community managers to filter using “OR” in addition to the default “AND” filter used today.

Update to External Search

In release 2023.025 ( we released our new external search feature that allows communities to replace Vanilla’s out of the box search with a third party, such as Coveo, SearchUnify, Algolia and more.

Your feedback on this feature was clear – you wanted users to click and have the external (aka third party) search results appear in a new tab rather than having them leave community. With release 2024.002, we’ve added an option to allow community admins to decide if search results should open in the same tab or a new one.

VNLA-4877: Fixed discrepancy in 'Users with the most posts' chart
- Support: This resolves an issue where posts that were approved from Moderation queue were not being properly attributed to the user for analytic purposes.
VNLA-4912: Addressed issue with Tags With Decimals displaying as URL Slug
VNLA-4925: Fixed spam points deduction not reversing when post approved
VNLA-4938: Resolved crash in Style Guides page due to invalid color value in theme variables
VNLA-5012: Addressed issue with Tags leading to pages with invalid pagination links
VNLA-5025: Fixed duplicate article names in KB article analytics
VNLA-5193: Resolved issue with drafts not saving corresponding group
- Support: This fixes the issue where if a draft was created for a discussion in a specific Group that it would not remember which Group it was being made in.
VNLA-5220: Fixed "Show Guests" toggle in Online widget not removing guests from count
VNLA-5314: Addressed clickable Sort and Filters for Discussions Asset in edit mode
VNLA-5363: Fixed guests viewing private profiles not being redirected to sign in

- Support: Fixes issue where an ideation post would not be searchable by it’s new status immediately after the status was updated.
VNLA-5447: Fixed Category tile erroneously showing 0 discussions
VNLA-5463: Fixed Tabs widget pocket UI issue and error
Support: Widget was adjusted to prevent error scenario and an associated alignment problem.
VNLA-5465: Resolved UI and functionality issue with List pockets
Support: Prevents default values from appearing when editing an already configured widget.
VNLA-5485: Fixed issue with copy-pasted images from documents causing embed code blocks in text editor
VNLA-5486: Resolved New Post Button widget disappearance when excluding all posting options except for Ideas
