Assign and Delegate Event Ownerships
Events often aren’t managed by the person who creates them. A community manager might set up an event on behalf of a colleague, or ownership might change after an event is published. Until now, the event creator was always listed as the organizer—making ongoing management harder than it needed to be.
With this update, you can now choose the Event Organizer when creating or editing an event. The selected organizer becomes the owner of the event and can edit or delete it as needed, even if they didn’t create the event and don’t otherwise have permission to create events.
To ensure the right level of access, event organizers must have permission to view the category or group where the event is posted.
This gives teams more flexibility, supports shared ownership, and ensures events always show the correct point of contact.
