Overview
Release 2025.012 includes improvements to moderation, content creation, and user engagement. Moderators using the Community Management Dashboard can now edit premoderated posts before approval. Rich Editor adds support for button-style links and clickable images, and a new notification has been added when an accepted answer appears on a question they’ve bookmarked.

Edit premoderated posts before approval
Moderators using the Community Management Dashboard (CMD), our new Moderation Experience, can now edit premoderated posts directly before approving them. This streamlines moderation workflows by allowing quick fixes like correcting formatting, removing sensitive information, or clarifying content—without needing to reject and ask the user to resubmit. Format links as buttons in Rich Editor
Rich Editor now supports a new way to draw attention to important links: buttons. This visual formatting option lets you highlight calls to action—like “Read More,” “Register,” or “Join Now”—making them more noticeable and easier for users to engage with. Hyperlink images in Rich Editor
Images in Rich Editor can now be turned into clickable links. Whether you’re using banners, thumbnails, or visual guides, this feature makes it easy to direct users to relevant content or external resources. Learn how to add hyperlinks to images.
New notification: Accepted answers on bookmarked questions
Users will now receive a notification when there is an accepted answer on a question they've bookmarked. This is part of the existing notifications for bookmarked posts—no new notification settings required. It’s a simple way to stay informed when questions you’re following get resolved.

Post Management
- VNLA-9122 - Fixed inability to select and display categories when moving posts
- VNLA-9110 - Resolved duplicate file attachment rendering by ensuring files only display once per post, regardless of link or embed method
- VNLA-8388 - Corrected bug where the first selected tag from the 'Popular Tags' list was not being added when creating a new post
- VNLA-7558 - Fixed issue preventing removal of tags from posts using the edit discussions UI
Managing Reported Posts
- VNLA-9085 - Fixed error so posts with both pre-moderated keywords and tags in Custom Layouts can be posted and properly sent to moderation
- VNLA-8991 - Fixed escalation process for spam automation reports by ensuring only valid record IDs are used, preventing validation errors
- VNLA-8841 - Added ability for moderators to edit posts before publication directly within the premoderation queue

- VNLA-9057 - Fixed issue so category names and filters always show in search when category filters are applied
- VNLA-9056 - Fixed search reindexing process to ensure discussions, comments, and user records are properly indexed and retrievable
Q&A
- VNLA-9030 - Implemented notifications for users when an answer is accepted on a question they have bookmarked or created
Analytics
- VNLA-8906 - Fixed analytics API so leaderboard endpoints now pull data only from the intended node, preventing cross-node data leakage
- VNLA-5264 - Fixed issue causing some QnA post comments to be missing from analytics dashboards

- VNLA-8889 - Improved validation and error display in Change Post Type workflows and added additional automated tests
- VNLA-8520 - Fixed errors in category configuration where allowed post types field was not saved or caused errors even when correctly configured
Rich Editor
- VNLA-8882 - Fixed bug that caused embeds to disappear when switching from card to inline mode
- VNLA-8467 - Added ability to link images in Rich Editor, allowing users to assign URLs to images via a modal
- VNLA-8466 - Added an option to insert visually styled buttons (call-to-action) into content using Rich Editor
Layout Editor & Widgets
- VNLA-8638 - Fixed legacy discussion lists to display the author name again in the post list UI
- VNLA-8626 - Removed unsupported option to apply "Create Post" page templates to individual categories, resolving template override conflicts
- VNLA-9060 - Improved the "Knowledge Base Category" and "Knowledge Base" dropdowns in Article Widgets to support more options and subcategories
