Overview
Release 2026.016 brings a focused set of improvements for community teams who manage moderation, content organization, multilingual experiences, and accessibility. These updates help admins and moderators spend less time working around operational friction and more time keeping their communities clean, organized, and useful for members.

Suspicious Registrations
Community moderators can review registration attempts flagged by Akismet or StopForumSpam from the Suspicious Registrations page. From there, selected registrations can be approved as legitimate members or rejected as spam, with a confirmation step before the action is applied.
This gives moderation teams a clearer workflow for reviewing questionable registrations, helping them protect the community while still making it easier to approve real members who should be allowed in.
This will also allow us to sunset the legacy Spam and Moderation queue pages in anticipation of our new Advanced Community Management tool.
AI Translations Settings
Admins can now access AI Translations configuration from the AI Settings page, making translation-related setup easier to find alongside other AI-powered community settings.
For communities that support multilingual audiences, this helps reduce setup confusion and keeps AI translation management closer to the other AI tools admins already use.
Article Tagging
Admins and knowledge teams can now use article tags to better organize knowledge content and support easier content discovery.
As knowledge bases grow, small improvements to organization can make a meaningful difference. Article tags give teams another way to structure content so members can find relevant information more easily and admins can manage knowledge content with more intention.
This feature will also work with Scoped Tagging and Tag Notifications functionality.
Banner Background Image Alt Text
Admins can add alt text for banner background images, helping communities provide clearer context for members using assistive technology.
This supports more accessible community experiences by giving teams a way to describe meaningful banner imagery instead of leaving that context unavailable to some members.
Move Posts Between Categories and Groups
Admins and moderators can move posts between categories and groups, helping teams keep community content organized when posts need to be relocated.
Community conversations do not always start in the perfect place. This update gives teams more flexibility to correct where content lives, making it easier to keep discussions aligned with the right audience, topic, or group without losing the original post.
