Over the past several weeks, we’ve explored each of the COMPASE components: Connection, Operations/Support, Marketing/Ambassadors, Product Feedback, Acquisition, Strategy & Retention, and Education. Together, they form a framework designed to help you build a sustainable, impactful community that aligns with your organizational goals.
But here’s the most important part: you don’t have to launch all six components at once, or even right away. COMPASE is meant to be scaled. Start with the area that best aligns with your current priorities, whether that’s building stronger peer-to-peer connections, reducing support tickets, activating advocates, or ensuring members know how to succeed. Once that foundation is strong, you can layer on additional components, one at a time, to expand the value and impact of your community.
Your community doesn’t need to be everything from day one…it just needs to be intentional. By taking a phased approach, you’ll create something that not only grows with your members but also grows with your organization.
The COMPASE framework is here to guide you; not as a checklist to complete, but as a flexible roadmap for building a thriving, scalable community.
If you’d like help identifying where to start or how to scale your next step, please start a discussion in the community.
We’re here to build alongside you.
