Setting Up Custom SSL (HTTPS) with Vanilla Cloud

All Vanilla Cloud communities are automatically protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) from the moment they're created.

We have partnered with Cloudflare to offer simple SSL certificate issuing services to all of our customers. This means that we’re able to automatically issue SSL certificates for your community on your behalf once you set up a custom domain. You do not have to provide certificates.

IMPORTANT:

- Since your site is being served through SSL, you will encounter problems if you externally link to non-SSL resources, such as JavaScript, CSS, or images. It will be important to keep this in mind if you're doing you own custom theming or have other customizations enabled.

- If you're using SSO, make sure your authentication URL is available over SSL or else your SSO connection will fail.
