This guide is for after you have an account with hotjar.com, a service which allows you to get heatmaps, mouse tracking and feedback from people looking at your community.
Installing Hotjar in Foundation Theme
Here are the installation steps:
- Copy the needed your code from the HotJar site management area, clicking on "Tracking Code".
- Use the "onVanillaReady Function" documented here.
- When done it should look as below:
Then the final step is to allow the script to run, so head to the Security category - under Technical and you will need to add *.hotjar.com. This will allow the script to run and send data back to Hotjar. When complete, should look like so.
Installing Hotjar in other themes
If you are installing Hotjar in any other theme, use Pockets, as you would for any other tracker, but note, that the data of your KB will not be tracked.
