User Cards are a convenience feature that let users see a preview of a user's profile without needing to navigate to their profile.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: User Cards are available, by default, for our Knowledge Base and Foundation-based themes. Users must also have the View
> Profile
permission to see User Cards.
User Cards display when you click a user's username or avatar, and provide the following information:
- Username
- Avatar
- Rank Label
- Email address
- # of discussions (links to discussions on user's profile page)
- # of comments (links to comments on user's profile page)
- Badges (up to 7 most recent)
- Join date
- Last active date
📝 NOTE: Email addresses are considered personal information. Users must have the Personal Info
> View
in order to see a user's email address.
Set up
⚠️ IMPORTANT: User Cards are available, by default, on Foundation-based themes and on our Knowledge Base pages.
If you're using our Keystone theme, or a custom theme based on Keystone, for example, you can manually enable this feature. To do so:
- Access the Dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings > Addons > Labs.
- Click the Usercards toggle to slide it to the right.
📝 NOTE: See Labs to learn more about these features.
✔️ TIP: We recommend testing User Cards on your staging site before enabling this feature on your production site, as you may need to adjust your theme styling.
