Site Structure Plans
Site Structure Plans let you review and apply related structural changes as a group.
When you edit your Site Structure, your changes are saved in a draft plan and listed under Pending Operations. You can review the combined impact before members see anything, apply the plan when it is ready, and return later to monitor progress or review completed work.

Review Pending Operations
Changes made in Site Structure edit mode are added to a draft plan. A plan can include operations to add, update, move, merge, delete, enable, remove, or translate parts of your community structure.
The Pending Operations panel shows the type of operation and the item being changed.
Before applying the plan:
- Review the plan name and scope.
- Open each pending operation.
- Confirm the destination and settings for the change.
- Check for effects on content placement, permissions, navigation, layouts, languages, subcommunities, and Knowledge Bases.
- Confirm that all related changes belong in the same plan.
IMPORTANT: Review the complete plan before applying it. A structural change can affect several parts of the member experience at once.
Edit or remove a pending operation
Open a pending operation to review its details. When available, use the edit and remove actions to adjust the operation or take it out of the draft plan before applying it.
Removing an operation from the draft plan does not reverse a change that has already been applied.
Apply a plan
When the draft is ready:
- Open Pending Operations.
- Review the final summary.
- Confirm the plan name and scope.
- Select Apply.
Operations are processed in dependency order. Some operations cannot begin until an earlier operation is complete.
IMPORTANT: Large structural or translation plans can take time to finish. Do not start another overlapping structural change until you understand the state of the current plan.
Monitor plan progress
Open Site Structure Plans to review the status of an applied plan and its individual operations.
An operation can be shown as:
- Completed
- In progress
- Pending
- Skipped
- Failed
Translation and other large operations can continue after you leave the setup flow. Where available, the plan displays item-level progress for the operation currently being processed.
The amount of time required depends on the operations in the plan, the selected content, and the size and history of the community.
Review an incomplete plan
If an operation is skipped or fails:
- Open the operation.
- Review its status and details.
- Check whether later operations depend on it.
- Avoid making another overlapping structural change until the effect of the incomplete operation is understood.

View plan history
Completed plans remain available for reference. A plan can include its name, status, created date, updated date, applied date, and operation history.
Use this history to understand what changed, confirm whether all operations completed, and review earlier structural work.
What members see
Members do not see a draft plan or its Pending Operations. They see the resulting structure after the applicable operations are complete.
For plans that include AI-translated content, the member experience also depends on configured languages, supported content types, AI-processing preferences, the member's language choice, and the final site configuration.
