One new feature of the Analytics Dashboard release is the addition of "insights" in several places in the community. Insights are aptly named because they provide a quick and convenient look into engagement analytics in the community.
This article describes:
- the insights,
- the information that they provide, and
- how to access them.
User insights

Dashboard options
By design, Insights are intended to provide just a quick view of the more sought-after metrics in a Vanilla community. Because of this, there are only a few options on the Dashboard page.
On the page, you can:
- change the date range from the default (the past 30 days),
- change the sort order of some columns, and
- download a .CSV file of any chart.
📝 NOTE: The download files are named with the name of the chart and the date range, as in Discussions Viewed - 25 Jul 2023 - 24 Aug 2023.csv, but you can rename a file when you save it.
