Trello: I've used this in the past for large Community Content Submissions representing publication of a full course to the integrated LMS.
Pro: Provided a good change management record of course reviews, date of publication
Con: I didn't have an automation that would bi-directionally update the board when updates were made right in the courses, or be able to update the cards with information on Monthly or Annual Content views
Microsoft Planner: I've used this in the past for tracking posts to Community Groups, and to assign automated reminders to group leaders to make regular posts in their groups.
Pro: Automated reminders to group leaders and reporting possible from Planner made monthly updates easier across a large number of groups
Con: Creating/ordering columns in the Planner was not easy especially when the number of groups was 20+. I didn't have an automation tool that allowed Group Leaders to plan/schedule future posts from their reminder space or update the analytics of planner with the impact of the posts themselves
