User Role data, is it duplicated?

Hello all,

So I have a question around the user based data, I have set up a pie chart to show me comments that have been added grouped by the user role name. I have tried to find documentation but I cant seem to find anything.

If a user has multiple roles how does it calculate this data?

For example in the pie chart we have 167 members who have commented, and 99 employees who have commented, however, all of our employees also have a role of member too , does that mean that 99 of the 167 is also comments from employees, thus the data being duplicated?

Hey James,

In this situation where you're sorting posts-by-role, Vanilla will interpret a user with multiple roles as making multiple posts.

So, if you have an Employee/Member dual-user and that user makes one post, on your graph it would reflect as:

1 post for Members

1 post for Employees
