Search Queries without results - How are they calculated?

I've been reviewing our search queries without results table over the last month and just want to understand how the results are calculated.

Example - The screenshot below is our table from last month. Do these results mean that a member searched that exact phrase 3/4 times? ie. they hit the search button 4 times?

Hey Rav!

A Search event is logged whenever a user hits the Search button, AND when they attempt to refine their search, even if they don't hit that Search Button themselves.

For example, on our Demo site I've replicated this with the "super gaurantee charge" Search Query. I searched for it once from the main search banner, and then once I landed on the Search page, I wanted to see if there were perhaps results under Discussions, Articles, and Places. This then resulted in 4 individual searches.

We will be working on providing you with a way to inspect the individual events that are used for each chart in Q3. In the meantime you can copy the Dashboard and add additional "Group by" options to see additional details. Here I've added the Type to see what type of content they were looking for.
