Are analytics accurate?

Since implementing Custom Post Types (last 2-3 months), we've continually saw a dip in our analytics. I'm curious if others are reporting drops in traffic, new posts, new comments, monthly active users, contributors, and more—or if our site is just performing worse and worse as the year goes on?

Heyo @Jason Stone,

You're not alone in asking this question. Some have asked if it's their upgrade to Foundation. Some have asked if it's custom layouts. Essentially any new feature customers have adopted this year seems to be suspect.

But there's a feature released this year that's had a serious impact on page views and that's… AI Summaries on search results. Google launched them earlier this year and even Duck Duck Go has AI summaries you can generate. Communities across all platforms are noticing a dip in traffic as a result.

We've had some troubles with analytics last month. Thankfully things look to be back on track thanks to the Vanilla team.

This isn't specifically related to traffic or activity metrics but something I have noticed is the OOTB Posting dashboard showing duplicate names for two separate tables.

The specific issue we encountered was a coding error so it required a dev fix by Vanilla.
