Permissions for top ranked users
Hi,
I'm curious what kind of special permissions or privileges you have given top-ranked users on your Forum? Right now, anyone that ranks beyond a member can add an email signature. Is there anything else within Vanilla that others have seen beneficial and valuable to super users?
Thanks!

Hey @annayardley — I know that some communities allow their super users the curation ability so that they can promote posts and mark answers as accepted - I think that @jlefebre does something like this with his super users…

Yes, we sure do! Once users achieve a certain role we give them the ability to have a signature, increase the images allowed in the signature, but the most valuable is allowing them to edit their content for longer. As our superusers are our most trusted users, they have the ability to edit for a much longer period of time. They are pretty good at writing notes as to why they edited their own comment (e.g. adding more troubleshooting tips, updating part numbers that are compatible, etc.), instead of unintentionally "bumping" the topic with another comment that may appear to be spammy.

We've allowed our top-ranked users the ability to create new Tags, and we're discussing giving them a category where only they can post content called "Best Practices".
