On Feature Ideation dashboard - How is Most active ideas counted?

I'm looking through and most active ideas lists discussion name and posts. Does it just look at posts or does it also look at votes?

I would like to see the total votes in addition to comments. Vote count is something that matters a fair amount to our product team.

Hmm Thanks for the write up Val. I got this to work. That said the number, still running into the category issue with template ideas and product ideas. BUT that said I know templates has less votes :)

@Amanda Petersen Most Active is defined by # of comments on the idea, discussion, or question.

I 100% agree with you on this one. Seeing # of Upvotes and comments on an idea is crucial to the ideation process. We have the ability to create charts showing you # of upvotes added to your community, and the ability to break that down by -

* Discussion Name
* Reacting User Name
* Date
* and more

This can work to show you which Posts have received the most upvotes within a timeframe. If you've disabled the Vote Up reaction, but are using Ideation, this works to show you the top voted ideas; however, if you have the Vote Up reaction enabled and available on all discussions and comments, the chart will contain more than just Ideas. I made the decision to hold off on releasing this chart as part of our OOTB Ideation Dashboard knowing it wouldn't look quite right for everyone.

We've got some work in progress to add discussion-type information to Reaction events, so we can serve both use cases adequately.  We want to be able to filter Up Voting data based on discussion-type so we can create charts showing top voted ideas, but also top voted comments on a discussion, or top voted discussions in a category, and more.

If you are only using Up Votes in the context of Ideation, and wish to add a Top Voted Ideas table to our Ideation Dashboard, with Release 2021.023, you'll be able to easily make a copy of our OOTB Dashboard so you can easily add and edit charts or customize the layout.

To add this chart, create a Table and use the following parameters:

* Data Source: Reactions
* Group by: Discussion Name
* Metric Function: Count Unique
* Metric Field: Reacting User ID
* Filters:* Reaction Type = Vote Up

* Rank by: Result

WRT having a chart showing number of up votes and comments, while you can get this with two separate charts, I definitely see the value of being able to combine the two. I'll ideate on this with the team. It sounds a bit similar to @lymphiyush request here:
