Filters: Easily separate ideas by category on the ideas and Questions dashboard

Certain this is coming, but I am pulling reports for our two ideation categories. we have one for template ideas and one for product ideas.

As a business owner I would like to be able to share just the template ideas with the template owner and just the ideas for product with the product team.

This is great feedback! I know you're moving on to custom dashboards next. There's a few things in the dashboard builder that will help you with this use case, and a couple things on deck that will be of additional help.

With the custom charts and dashboards you can add a filter to only include data from a specific category.
With Release 2021.023 (currently on staging) you have the ability to copy our OOTB dashboard to add and edit charts, or customize the layout. So you'll be able to make your own custom copy of our dashboard, add a filter to Category A, and create a second chart filtered to category B to see them side by side OR it two dedicated dashboards without having to recreate every chart from scratch.
We're working on some updates that will add filtering options to your Dashboards so you can quickly filter all charts within the dashboard to a specific category.

@Amanda Petersen i looked at your screenshot again and it hit me - you're needing to filter based on the idea's Prefix that's been added to the Discussion Name. We have options for this! You can filter the chart by Discussion Name, but in this case use the "Contains" operator i.e.

Hey @Val, I attempted to do this! It seems to be spinning. Certain I got something wrong in the configuration.

Attempted to do it based on Category, and group by discussion name, and I didn't get a table, just a number.

Attempted to use the Custom - Idea Upvotes. Before I got to filtering, it stated no results.

If I do got to filtering in the Idea Upvotes Custom, "Discussion Name" doesn't have "contains". The options are equal to, not equal to, less than or equal to, greater than or equal to, exists, or one of.

Thoughts?

@Amanda Petersen A couple things here:

1 - I believe the bug you reported here is contributing to the issues with the Discussion Name filtering. Currently we're not successfully pulling the Discussion Name, the IDs are being loaded instead, so when you're filtering using the Discussion Name it's only seeing the discussion ID, not the actual name. We'll get this fix out ASAP.

2 - You found another bug! On the Reaction Type filter, we made a mistake in the preset options, it should be Reaction Type is equal to Vote Up, and currently we're loading Reaction Type is equal to Up. We'll fix the preset, but in the interim you can manually change that filter.
