The AI Search Assistant is a set of features that currently works as an all-or-nothing experience. Right now, you can’t pick and choose which pieces to enable for your community.
Here’s what it includes today:
- AI Summaries → search summaries shown at the top of results pages.
- AI Chatbot → this has two parts:
- A floating action button (FAB) available on every page, where users can start a conversation or pick up their last one.
- A search companion launched from the search page to refine a query in natural language.
- AI-Assisted Posting → currently includes:
- Suggesting a category
- Suggesting a post type
- Suggesting tags
- Drafting a post with suggested text
We’ve heard from some of you that granular controls could be valuable, so that communities can tailor the AI experience to their members’ comfort levels and needs.
Question: If you had the option to configure these features independently, which would you enable, disable, or customize for your community?
