đ¤ Why These Metrics Matter
A healthy community isnât just about questions getting answeredâitâs about whoâs asking and whoâs stepping up to help. Tracking both sides shows:
- Knowledge Hubs â Identify members or roles providing the most accepted answers (great for swag đ or âTop Contributorâ badges).
- Support Gaps â Spot roles that ask a lot but rarely answer, so you can offer training or resources.
- Peer-to-Peer Success â Prove that the community, not just staff, is solving problemsâkey for ROI stories and resourcing decisions.
Below is a quick guide to build these insights in Dashboard Charts using the QnA data source. âŹď¸
đ¤ All Answers? Or Only Accepted Answers?
If you want to focus on accepted answers, make sure to set the filter Type = answer_accepted to focus your chart only on answers that were actually marked as accepted.
This ensures you're measuring verified solutionsânot just any replies.
đ§ââď¸ Who is
Providing (Accepted) Answers
(the user who provided the answer that was ultimately marked Accepted)
Group by Insert User fields:
Field | What it tells you |
---
Insert User ID
Unique ID of the answer-provider
Insert User Name
Display name of the answer-provider
Insert User Rank Name
Rank of the answer-provider
These fields capture the person who posted the solution that was eventually marked as acceptedâperfect for recognizing top helpers.
If you don't have the accepted answer filter on, it will be folks that supplied answers in general, not just those who supplied the accepted answer.

These fields spotlight the groups benefiting most from community expertise.
Use these insights to celebrate contributors, balance support loads, and keep your community thriving. đ
