Better ways to count/track posts

Hi all,

I have a feature request:

It would be wonderful to be able to tag posts for moderation purposes (tags not visible to the end users).

The goal would be to tag a post with a topic, and then be able to filter by date on Analytics, how many posts with that tag we have during a certain period of time.

Why do I say that?

Well… Even if we merge the posts in a single discussion, and we mark the filter to show us the newest messages, threaded posts get lost in previous weeks, making it difficult to manually count the newest posts totals.

Threaded pots are awesome, don't get me wrong. We just need a way to get data regarding custom topics over a custom time range.

It will assign a value of sentiment based on the word used for the time period in question. You can add your own keywords as well to be tracked. You can track certain keywords and use that in your analytics which would allow you to see it over the given time period.

You can to your CSM/Support if you need help enabling AI sentiment and want to play around with it.

The goal is to track topics of our company's interest that come into our Community more efficiently. (We do it on social media using 3rd party software, but the technology feels missing in Vanilla. I won't link their name/feature here because I don't want to sound like a spammer, but if moderators or devs want to know more, you can pm me.)

If there is a specific topic that is relevant, we want to be able to create a custom tag (visible to moderators/admins only) regarding the topic, and tag individual posts, so we can track how many posts we received about a specific subject during a specific amount of time.

This could help us get data about how much a "topic" impacted our user base and for how long people are talking about it.

Example: a bug in a new feature. Tag: "new bug XYZ" / total of 135 posts tagged by moderator with this topic in the past week, but the week after 35 posts got tagged by moderator. One month later, 2 posts were tagged by moderators.

If we could create tags for each Language Community to track their own topics according to their specific marketing challenges, it would be even better!

Are you on the new moderation experience (Community Management Dashboard)?

Depending on what you're looking for there's some additional moderation related data sources you can use like how often a post is escalated or reported.

All that to say, what is the ultimate goal of what you're hoping to achieve? If you could use these tags to count posts - what is it that you hope to achieve with this? Perhaps there's another way to do what is you hope to do but I think we need more details.
