I'm wondering if there has been any updates on this. I looked at the roadmap and it says it was released and it's no longer in beta but I don't see it available in staging yet.

It's part of the layout editor page for discussion threads. This is currently still in beta as there's a number of features that we need to complete this quarter to provide it feature parity with the current discussion thread view.
This feature is also going to bring in new features like AI Suggested Answers and Nested Comments. It's very soon and we could likely see about you testing it on your staging if you wanted to.
Depending on you or a colleague's technical knowledge, you could explore adding a 'ShareThis' widget to your site as it is free to do so.
It's 3rd party frontend code so it's not an official feature we support but some customers like Quantexa have implemented it:
