Hi all- I've been asked to see if there is a way to incorporate Mentimeter or Kudoboard into our community site.
Does anyone have experience with either of these? Any help would be awesome!
I don't know of anyone using Mentimeter in a Vanilla Higher Logic community, but judging from their documentation, you would be able to embed the results of, say, a Mentimeter poll in Vanilla Community using an iframe. Mentimeter does not appear to support embedding the interactive elements (e.g. voting) on other platforms. In other words, you would have to create a widget in Vanilla that would have a) a link to the Mentimeter page to vote on something, and b) an iframe with the results displayed.
It looks like Kudoboard has the same kind of capabilities.
When integrating anything into a Vanilla Community, know that Vanilla supports iframe embeds (virtually, embedding another web property into a widget), Vanilla supports JavaScript libraries being embedded, and Vanilla has robust APIs and Webhooks.
If you have a cloud-hosted stage environment for community, it would only cost you your time to try to set up an integration to one of these platforms on your stage.
I would love to hear if anyone has done any integrations with Mentimeter or Kudoboard or how it works out for you @wheinrich
