Tracking clicks from homepage

Question

Hi @Shauna @kimmieharrington

We're trying to use analytics to see how different items on our homepage are performing in terms of clicks. We've created the chart above to do this. Can we check that this is doing what we think: we have filtered the referrer's URL to our homepage so we are assuming all of the page views on the left are clicks from our homepage.

Is this filtering out admin clicks?

What does this mean?

I'd also note that if you want to see how folks are responding to different links or CTAs in particular, I'd encourage you to set up some UTMs to better measure traffic — you can find info on those here:

@stephanierichardson Not really a support question, but since no one else has chimed in, I thought I'd say that this looks right to me! Admins are being filtered out, you're only looking at clicks that come from the main home page of the site. The "/" is also the home page, so that's likely people clicking on something that keeps them on the home page or some other edge case in how web traffic is tagged that I'm not aware of.
