Building dashboard to dig into active users

Hello,

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this but I'm looking for some guidance on building a dashboard.

We have a few role types in our Community but only want to track info for our "Member" Role type for reporting. I need to build a dashboard that tells me the following:

• The number of unique users posting (commenting, starting discussions, posting ideas)
• The number of unique users reacting (liking, voting on ideas, voting in polls)

I think I've figured out how to build a dashboard for #2 but I'm struggling to build something for #1 that does exactly what I want it to... I've tried making copies of the existing dashboards and playing around with them to get the info I want but I'm struggling. If anyone has any advice/has built something similar please let me know!

A little late but Happy New Year in any case. For number 1, I think an easy way to do this would be to copy your 'Posting' dashboard over so that you can edit those default analytics and see what they're made.

What you're describing is a 'contributor' however it is true that the Contributor metric would include all user roles by default. However, if you make the following changes it will break out the number of unique users contributing by role.

You could also build this from scratch on a custom dashboard by choosing:

Type: Table

Data source: Posts

Group by: User Role Name

Function: Count Unique

Field: User UUID (Unique User ID)

Label: Whatever you want, I put Number of users

Order: Result
