New Notifications visibility on mobile device

Hi Team,

New inbox messages/notifications do not show on the homescreen until you go into your profile avatar, is there any way it could pop-up as a number somewhere to indicate there are new items to address? Perhaps in the menu on the side where Community Info, Discussions etc. sit to make it more visible?
